Traveling from Rome along the motorway, we first visit Tivoli, a world renowned small Italian town. Since ancient times, Tivoli has been famous for the soothing spring of “Acqua Albulea” (sulphureous baths).
We then cross the Ponte Lucano, to admire the Tomb of Plautius Lucanus before arriving at Hadrian’s Villa. (Please note - from the parking to the villa entrance is a walking distance of 300 meters). The villa was built for the emperor Hadrian. We then continue our sightseeing with a visit to Villa D’Este, famous for its water system, the architecture of its gardens, the pavilions, the artificial caves and the fountains.
