Depart Bordeaux docks at 09.00am by private car or van with our English speaking driver/guide.  Our full day tour of the Bordeaux countryside takes us to the regions of St Emilion and Pomerol with visits to two of the top growth chateaux and tasting of their fine wines.  Continue with a drive thorugh the wine region to world famous vineyards such as Cheval Blacn, Petrus and Le Pin.  You will receive an introduction to the specifications of this wine growing area and learn about its classifications and its wine making.

We will visit the romantic medieval village of St Emilion and we shall enjoy a private comparative wine tasting of fine local wines from this area.    Lunch can be arranged (paid for locally) in one of the fine traditional restaurants in the medieval village of St Emilion.

Return to our cruise ship at 5.00pm.
