Your English speaking driver guide will meet you at your cruise ship at 09:00am and drive you to the Etna Natural Park home of the beautiful Volcano Mount Etna rich in sounds, perfumes and colors.  On arrival we will visit the famous Alcantara Gorges: about 50 km of fluvial enviroment with unique and unusual naturalistic aspects.   Particular intense geological and geothermic events have determined the structure of the current basalts.  It appears that in the prehistorical period a river ran over clay sediments; then great volcanic eruptions canalized in the riverbed, a fluid magma which sank forming the current basaltic colonnades. 

Looking from above the famous Gole dell'Alacantra-AlacantaraGorges, it is possible to imagine the contemporary fracture of the soil in the goethermic period.  Tourists from all over the world have visited to see the amazing sight of the Gole.  Afterwards we drive along the coast to Taormina, the world famous resort of Sicily.  Taormina is one of the most visited spots and we see the Greek Amphitheater, whose construction was cut out of the hillside by the Greeks, remodeled by the Romans and, fragmented by the Arabs.  On arrival we have time to explore the town independentantly.
