ROYAL APARTMENTS; GROVES (SUMMER) OR A HORSE CARRIAGE RIDE (WINTER); TRIANONS AND QUEEN'S HAMLET; LUNCH
You will start your day in Versailles with a guided morning visit of the Royal Apartments. This will be followed by a walk around the Palace’s park, passing through some of the “Groves” (summer) or a horse carriage ride (winter). Lunch will be taken in the restaurant “la Petite Venise”.
The afternoon will continue with a guided visit of the Trianon (vast mansion-style lodges where Louis XV and Louis XVI liked to work and retire from court life) and a discovery tour of Queen’s Hamlet (where from 1783 Marie Antoinette played as a shepherdess).
Entrance tickets and lunch are included in the price of this excursion. Special Fountains Show Programme: In addition to the usual programme we suggest that you wander around the groves and pools where the magnificent display of fountains reveals the skill and artistry of three centuries of French garden design and engineering. The display is accompanied by music from one of the famous composers from the court of Louis XIV. An additional fee of $7.50 will be necessary on the days of the Special Fountains Show Programme.
