Starting with the picturesque village of Enniskerry, the tour moves on to the splendid, world-famous Powerscourt Gardens, a fairytale demesne with Italian and Japanese gardens. Glendalough, the valley of the two lakes, is a spectacular glen in the heart of Wicklow. In the 6th Century, St. Kevin founded a monastery here which gave birth to a monastic town famous across Europe as a centre of learning. The tour finishes with a visit to Roundwood, the highest village in Ireland, surrounded with spectacular scenery between Lough Dan in the west and the many lakes of Varty Reservoir in the east.
