Itinerary

Toledo is a museum, a city of great artistic beauty. It was the capital of Spain and one of the oldest cities in Europe. Toledo has magnificent examples of architecture from different epochs: Arab, Jewish and Catholic. On arrival in Toledo our guide will take us around the city and admire the beautiful streets and monuments. We will visit the Primate Cathedral, The St Tome Church (burial place of Lord Orgaz) and El Greco's masterpiece. We will visit the Victorio Macho Museum a sculpture museum located on a spur of land, above a sweeping drop to the River Tagus offering magnificent views of Santa Maria La Blanca Synagogue and The San Juan de Los Reyes church. We will also see the Damasquiando known for precious metals encrusted on steel. This afternoon we visit El Escorial.  Many years ago this was considered to be one of the eighth wonders on the World. The city was concieved by Phillip 11 as a monastery and Royal Pantheon becoming the symbol of greatness of the Spanish Empire. We include a visit to the Royal Palace, Royal Pantheon, Infantes Pantheons, Chapter House and Basilica.  We later visit the "Valley of the Fallen" This impressive memorial in located in a forest of eight miles. The stone cross is 490 Ft high and rises above a basilica carved deep into a rock marking the Basilica. The monument is now complete with beautiful views of Madrid's Mountains.   We return to The Pullmantur Terminal after our stop here.
