You will journey across the superb Normandy countryside where you will encounter a moving visit to the Caen Memorial. While dedicated to peace, the memorial devotes itself to illustrations and films about the Second World War and the Normandy landings of June 1944. Lunch (drinks included) at the Memorial.

Your afternoon begins with a visit to the Pointe du Hoc followed by the American Cemetery of Saint-Laurent at Colleville where 9,386 soldiers are buried. The schedule (one hour) allows for a walk on Omaha Beach below the cemetery, or a visit to the new "Visitor Centre" built in 2007.
 
Conclude with a bus ride along the coast which takes you to Arromanches and the ruins of the artificial port built by the allies in less than 15 days. Thoughout the day, our guide will be providing commentary on all sites and explain how D-Day and the Battle of Normandy unfolded.

Note: Transportation will be in an air-conditioned motor-coach. This excursion is accompanied by a guide interpreter. On the way, he will retrace the history of France and its small stories. He will also provide plenty of information on the arts and French culture.
