Your driver and English speaking guide will meet you at your cruise ship at 09.00AM From the port, you'll travel to Mount Smith to enjoy a splendid panoramic view of Rhodes and the surrounding countryside. Passing through the Amboise Gate, you'll come to the Grand Master's Palace, an important fortress with a courtyard decorated with Roman statues. There are beautiful mosaics on display at the museum, including some from Roman times. Your route then goes through the old town on foot, following the steep and narrow old Knight's Road with its cobbled surface. The road is flanked by the beautiful "Hostels" in which the Knights of the Order used to lodge, separated according to nationality or language. Admire the richly ornamented flat facades, the arched windows and the terraced roofs.
