Your private English speaking driver guide will meet you at your hotel at 09.00AM and drive you to Pompei 

Pompei is what remains of an old city founded on 56 B.C. by Romans. Pompei was build by the sea at the bottom of the Lattari mountains, a strategic position for those times.

Unaware of having a boiling volcano at their back, one night of the 79 A.d., the Vesuvius erupted destroying Pompei and the nearby Ercolano. The lava covered the whole area burying Pompei with their inhabitants. Only after 1700 years, Pompei and Ercolano were brought to light again, and now it is the most fascinating open air museum in the world.

After lunch we head for the Amalfi coast.

It is one of the world’s most beautiful spectacular and breathtaking coast line overhanging the Mediterranean sea.  It goes from Sorrento to Salerno and in 40 miles you can see Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Minori, Conca dei Marini, Cetara and Vietri sul mare e Salerno.

Along the way you will see the Emerald Grotto and many china shops.

Return to hotel at 5:00pm
